BEAR BONES

"A performance is guaranteed to deliver something for all tastes. There is classic English material,
such as 'Just as the Tide was a Flowing' or 'High Germany' and firm favourites and chorus songs for
everyone to join in with - 'Dirty Old Town' and 'Goodnight Irene'. Alongside these are Bluegrass and
Country Blues numbers - 'Blue Mountain' and 'No More, My Lord.' Original material comes in the
form of collaborations with the poet Brian Smith, and self-penned songs and tunes
with a distinct Breton flavour and a large helping of English polkas."

BEAR BONES is a versatile band that plays a range of traditional folk and roots-based songs and music and
is ideal for folk clubs or for larger concerts and festivals.
Their ability to create music for more intimate settings has become extremely popular
with museum and art gallery openings, parties and for all those ‘special events’.

“Bear Bones are really great - great guys and their music was first class. Everybody was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, we will definitely have them back again.”
- The Flying Boat, Pembroke Dock
“I saw Bear Bones supporting Maire Ni Cathasaigh and Chris Newman at the Halfpenny Folk Club in Gower. I was struck by the obvious zest, bounce and enjoyment at performing close to an appreciative crowd. Bear Bones fitted exactly in the support slot like a proverbial glove, and cooked up a welcome, spicy appetiser to the main attraction - the audience just lapped it up.”
- Mick Tems, TAPLAS

The Band also plays for Barn Dance or Ceilidhs when they will have an expert ‘Caller’ to explain all the steps and guide even the most inexperienced through the dances.
